يخضع نقل امتعة الراكب الخاضع لها نقل البضائع ما لم يحتفظ الراكب بحراستها.
وفي هذه الحالة لا يعد الربان مسؤولا عن الخسائر والاضرار ما لم تكن ناجمة عن فعل البحارة.
