يسقط بحكم مرور الزمن حق دعوى المطالبة بجعل الاسعاف او الانقاذ بعد مرور سنتين على يوم
انتهاء اعمال الاسعاف او الانقاذ.
ولا تسري هذه المدة اذا لم تحجز في المياه الاردنية السفينة المسعوفة او المنقوذة.
يعاقب بالحبس من شهر الى سنتين وبالغرامة من عشرة دنانير الى ثلاثمائة دينار او باحدى هاتين
العقوبتين ، كل ربان شاهد
شخصا في البحر مهددا بالغرق وامتنع عن اسعافه دون ان يعرض سفينته وبحارتها وركابها لخطر
جدي.
