يجري التسجيل في ميناء العقبة بناء على تصريح خطي يعطيه المالك لمدير عام دائرة الميناء
بحضور شاهدين على الاقل ويذكر
حصته في السفينة ومنشأ ملكيته لها. اذا كانت السفينة ملكا لشركة فعلى ممثل الشركة
بصفته هذه ان يدلي بتصريحه عنها.
وعلى صاحب التصريح ان يؤيد تصريحه بملكيتها بابرازه جميع الاوراق الثبوتية ( كسند البيع ولوائح
الحساب الى آخره او
ان يعرض على المدير استماع الشهود كمتعهد الانشاء والعمال الخ.....) تنظم بما يقدم محضر
ضبط يوقعه صاحب التصريح والشهود
والمدير العام.
