الناقل ملزم قبل وعند بدء السفر:-
1 - بان يعد السفينة اعدادا حسناً لتكون صالحة للملاحة.
2 . - ان يجهزها ويزودها بالمهمات والرجال والمؤن الموافقة
3 - ان ينظف ويحسن حالة الانابر ( العنابر ) والغرف الباردة والمبردة وسائر اقسام السفينة المعدة
