1 - يراقب المدعي العام سير العدالة ويشرف على السجون ودور التوقيف وعلى تنفيذ القوانين
ويمثل السلطة
التنفيذية لدى المحاكم والدوائر القضائية ويخابر السلطات المختصة رأسا.
2 - وهو الذي يحرك دعوى الحق العام وينفذ الاحكام الجزائية.
