Article 280 of Penal Code No. 16 of 1960
Article text
1 - كل شخص ذكراً كان او أنثى ، تزوج في أثناء وجود زوجه على قيد الحياة سواء أكان الزواج
التالي باطلاً او
يمكن فسخه او لم يمكن ، يعاقب بالحبس من ستة أشهر الى ثلاث سنوات إلا اذا ثبت:
أ- أن الزواج السابق قد أعلنت فسخه محكمة ذات اختصاص او سلطة دينية ذات اختصاص ، او
ب- أن الشريعة المتعلقة بالزواج التي تسري على الزوج - في تاريخ الزواج السابق او تاريخ الزواج
التالي -
تتيح له الزواج بأكثر من زوجة واحدة.
2 - يعاقب بنفس العقوبة من أجرى مراسيم الزواج المذكورة في الفقرة السابقة مع علمه بذلك.
