لغايات تنفيذ أحكام هذا النظام، تتولى المديرية المهام والصلاحيات التالية:-
أ- الإشراف على تنفيذ بدائل العقوبات السالبة للحرية لدى الجهات المعتمدة ومتابعتها.
ب- رفع تقارير المتابعة الدورية حول مدى التزام المحكوم عليه بتنفيذ بديل العقوبة السالبة
للحرية الى قاضي تنفيذ العقوبة.
ج- التنسيق مع الجهات الشريكة في اقتراح برامج تأهيل وأنواع العمل للمنفعة العامة داخل
الجهة المعتمدة.
د- التنسيق والتعاون مع كافة الجهات المعنية حول تنفيذ بدائل العقوبة السالبة للحرية.
هـ- تزويد المحاكم بقائمة محدثة دورياً بالجهات المعتمدة لتنفيذ بدائل العقوبات السالبة
للحرية مرفقا بها مذكرات التفاهم المبرمة معها وقائمة بالأعمال والبرامج التأهيلية المتاحة.
و- أي مهام أخرى ورد النص عليها في هذا النظام.
